2 Chronicles 7:14-18 states that "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. 16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. 17 As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments, 18 then I will establish the throne of your kingdom,
We find a direct corelation between prayer and humility. God declares, humble your self in the sight of the Lord and He will exalt you in due season. If we are to reach the altitude promised to us by the Father, "seated with Christ in heavenly places", we will have to approach Him and everyone else in life with humility. The Kingdom, The Power, and The Glory are all His not ours but when we humble ourselves in His sight, He make them available to us. Do you want to see God's Power and Glory displayed in and through you? Do you want the Kingdom life along with it's benifits? Meekness is not weakness, but even if it's mistaken as such in our weakness He is made strong, and He will strengthen us to do all things.
