The temple of His chosing Jesus spent many days teaching in the temple among the people. What is amazing is that this in itself can be seen as a fullfillment of the prophesy in Malachi 3 where it says "and the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple". The temple was where the Holy of Holies stood behind the veil, signifying the way into His presence. The high priest could only venture behind that veil and into the sacred place once a year. Yet Jesus, being fully God in the flesh, "came and dwelt among us" (John 1:4). Jesus who is our eternal High Priest (Hebrews 8:1) not only provided a way into the presence of the Father, but also restored the communion with God that had been lost during the first fall of man in the Garden. Not only did He come to dwell amongst us, He also began building His real temple inside his church who is also His Bride.
